Dr Bala Veemarajan is a Consultant in Pain Medicine with an experience of more than ten years. As a Clinical lead for pain management in the NHS hospital, he has been instrumental in developing the interventional and multidisciplinary pain service. He has experience in treating a wide range of pain conditions and his main areas of interest are low back pain, sciatica, neck pain, musculoskeletal pain and complex regional pain syndrome. 

He is proficient in interventional techniques including spinal injections like epidurals, facet joint injections, diagnostic nerve blocks, radiofrequency denervation. He completed the postgraduate anaesthesia and pain management training in Nottingham University Hospitals. 

He was awarded FRCA and FFPMRCA (Pain) qualifications by the Royal College of Anaesthetists and Faculty of Pain Medicine in London. In addition, he underwent advanced training in Pain management before being appointed as a consultant. His special interests are interventional pain management, orthopaedic/trauma and regional anaesthesia.
